Hey there, I'm Elliot, a 31 year old Aussie living in London.

The idea for this podcast struck me a while back when I stumbled upon the incredible tale of Skanderbeg, the badass Albanian hero who held off the Ottomans in the 15th century. That got me curious, and I dived into stories like The Last Byzantine Emperor Constantine XI and Roman Emperor Aurelian.

You know what blew my mind? Almost every country has its own national hero who's a big deal locally but doesn't get much love on the global stage.

That's where this podcast comes in. My goal is to share those jaw-dropping stories with you. I've got no fancy history degree, but what I lack in qualifications, I make up for in my knack for sifting through ancient, dusty sources to bring you epic, tragic, and downright bizarre tales.
